As Many As 10,000 Websites Attacked on Saturday Morning

The HinzSight Report has learned that there was a coordinated attack on at least 5 website hosting servers and effecting as many as 10,000 websites. The attacks have been of the Distributed Denial of Service type, often directed at a specific website.

This attack was coordinated at specific servers, bringing them down one at a time. These types of attacks are not uncommon, although this coordintated effort certainly seems to be directed at one hosting company, name withheld upon request.

The attacks began early Friday evening, and have continued into Saturday. The first server affected was at approxamately 7:30 PM and most recent attack was attacked late Saturday afternoon.
