A Thanksgiving Thank You To Our Troops
I may be a day or two early with this tribute, but most of our men and women in harms way are nearly a day ahead of us time zone wise.
Thanksgiving is a day we all sit down at the family table and give thanks for the bounty that we have and our freedom to enjoy it. We gorge ourselves on turkey, stuffing and all the trimmings and I know our troops overseas will be having turkey too. I remember when I was afar in the military, our respective branches went to the limit to make sure we all got a hot turkey dinner on this very special day.

It was a great feeling, knowing that the family was safe and sound back home, sitting around the table passing a dish of this or that and laughing, eating drinking and giving thanks. What made that feeling so great was that I knew they were safe from harms way.
I thank all of those that are serving in the military this Holiday keeping all of us safe back here in the United States of America. And I especially want to thank the Airman that has taken my place, whomever he/she is.
I spent 8 of these Holidays away from home, and I never regretted missing one of them with my family. I know in my heart of hearts the young men and women that will be away from home this Holiday DO NOT regret missing theirs either. Sure, they'll be lonely and miss their wife, kids, Mother and Father, brothers and sisters, girlfriend or fiancé.
Guys and Gals of the Military, know this: When you get back home to your loved ones and you have your first Thanksgiving dinner back with your family, that will be the best turkey dinner you will ever sit down to. It'll be the sweetest, most tasty turkey you have ever had, and do you know why? Because, like myself, you will be secure that there is someone just a good, just as proud and just as dedicated to freedom as you are.
God Bless you all for preserving the freedom that we all enjoy.
Ten - Hut!
