Hi guys,

I'm so sorry to keep y'all in suspense ... is has been a bit hectic around the nest, of late.

In any case, after a week in ICU and a week more at home on IV meds (I learned a new talent, and the Frau finally pulled the dang thing out!), Fraubudgie is home and recovering.

She's getting stronger every day. Our first trip up the stairs took over half an hour. Now, she's navigating herself up or down in a minute or two (although once a day is enough). And we've managed a walk down to the beach!

Frau's getting her thoughts together, and finding a few words that seem to have gotten lost. Fortunately, most of them stuck around.

Her joke today (while watching Bloomberg): "Now, there's a quote for Lean Hogs. Why don't they have a quote for fat hogs, or even average hogs? How about bacon?"

We've a lot for which to be thankful, this season. Not just our country's excellent medical system, but especially the thoughts and prayers of all you good and concerned friends. Please keep it up. Our prayers really are working.

HotChick budgie will be making the pralines for her first time Thanksgiving. YoungRooster budgie will be home from school for the weekend, to help with the eating. And I'll be cooking cousin BigBird with all the trimmings.
